This system is primarily designed for glazing balconies and loggias, as well as gazebos and verandas, in cases where people will not be passing through the glazed area and the lower profile will not be a source of obstruction. The BUTTERFLY design allows for almost complete opening of the glazed opening.

The sashes in this system move along the lower and upper aluminum guides and fold into a book-like configuration against one wall of the opening. This glazing system can be opened in either one or two directions, depending on the client's preference and the glazing shape. Only eight sashes can be opened in one direction. For long systems requiring more sashes, a two-way opening is used, doubling the number of sashes.

The BUTTERFLY system allows for glazing spaces of various shapes: straight, L-shaped, U-shaped, curved, and complex shapes with multiple angles. The system can withstand significant wind loads (up to 150 kg/sq.m). Furthermore, the BUTTERFLY system is corrosion-resistant, as all its profiles are made of aluminum, while other components are made of stainless steel and plastic. The system uses rollers with high-quality sealed thrust bearings, protected from dirt and moisture.

 

The maximum glazing height is 2300 mm. However, the sash width should not exceed 650 mm; using wider sashes may complicate adjustment.

 

The bearings and the entire roller carriage can withstand a weight of 20 kg, allowing for the installation of sashes weighing up to 40 kg. Unlike similar products from other manufacturers, BUTTERFLY roller carriages have no plastic parts (except for the roller housing, which is made of impact-resistant polystyrene).

The supporting profile is made of 3 mm thick anodized aluminum and has a silvery finish reminiscent of natural metal. Upon request, the profile can be powder coated according to the RAL catalog.

Profiles with a wood-effect finish are available upon request. Convenient chain-operated locks are used to secure the hinged sash in the closed position.

Furthermore, a unique feature of the BUTTERFLY frameless glazing system is the use of a special device – a sash holder – that secures the sashes in the open position when open in the parking lot.

The sash profiles are assembled to the glass by gluing them together with a special glass adhesive or silicone. Furthermore, if the glass breaks, it is very difficult to remove the fragments; it is often easier to simply remove the broken profile fragment and discard it. The glass is held in place not only by high adhesion but also by the geometry of the sash profiles, which ensures that the cured adhesive forms a bead, making it impossible for the glass to be removed (or fall out).

Only tempered safety glass is used. Profiles are available for glass thicknesses ranging from 8 mm to 10 mm. Glass tinting is available upon request. All supplied plastic parts are gray.
