The MOMENTUM top-hung, fully threshold-free frameless glazing system operates on the accordion principle. Its main advantages are the absence of a threshold, ease of use, and quiet operation when the sashes are moving.

The sashes in the MOMENTUM system move along a robust overhead track and fold neatly at one end of the opening. The system's roller carriages are made of stainless steel, and the rollers themselves are coated with a flexible coating for quieter operation. The roller carriage consists of four main rollers that support the sash load and two rollers that act as guides. Each roller carriage can support a weight of 150 kg.

 

With the MOMENTUM system, the opening can be instantly closed or opened in less than a minute. To do this, simply open the lock, release the sashes from the floor, and slide them in the desired direction. The sashes are secured in the closed position using bolts built into the lower sash profile. Now, to open the opening, there's no need to bend over in front of each sash to manually release the bolt. The MOMENTUM system's specially designed bolt mechanism allows it to be opened and closed with a gentle press of the foot.

 

The system is filled with 10mm or 12mm thick tempered safety glass. It can be clear, frosted, tinted bronze, graphite, or printed with a pattern or your logo. Laminated glass can also be used for higher security requirements for glazed openings in shopping centers, children's playrooms, and other public spaces.

The system profiles are available in Antracite Gray as standard, adding a touch of class to the glazed opening. Upon request, the system profiles can be powder-coated in any color from the RAL catalog.

The doors are connected using strong yet elegant hinges installed on the ends of the upper and lower door profiles. All system components are made of stainless steel and impact-resistant plastics. A seal between the floor surface and the lower door profiles is optional. The choice depends on the environment and purpose of the partition—exterior or interior. If necessary, two rows of brush seals are installed on the lower profile. Two rows of brush seals are installed by default at the top of the opening, between the upper load-bearing profile and the upper door profiles.

 

The seal between the door, the outer door, and the side surfaces of the opening is provided by side frame profiles with rows of rubber seals that fit tightly against the glass. This seal protects the opening along the vertical sides from snow, rain, dust, and dirt, as well as from wind. This sealing option makes the MOMENTUM system unique compared to other similar systems that operate on the accordion principle.

Transparent silicone-plastic seals, installed on the glass edges, provide protection from snow, rain, dust, dirt, and wind between the sashes.

 

The maximum height of the glazed opening can reach 3,000 mm, and the sash width can be up to 1,000 mm.

The maximum width of a one-way opening system is 5,000 mm. Therefore, when using two systems, it is possible to glaze openings up to 10,000 mm wide.

In addition to polymer, this system uses durable pins to secure the glass in the sash profiles. They prevent the glass from coming out of the profile's mounting chamber during intense solar heating of the polymer and securely hold the glass in the profile even during very strong wind loads and gusts. This allows for larger sash sizes compared to similar systems from other manufacturers.

The MOMENTUM system allows for the opening to be operated without a pivot door. In this version, the first door sash itself is part of the sliding accordion and moves with the rest of the glass in the desired direction.

 

If the opening has a pivot door sash, a floor-mounted recessed or overhead door closer can be installed.
